Team Fundraising

Third Annual
Bras for the Cause Walk
May 10, 2008

To set up an online donation page, you will have to have an active.com account. (You may already have one from previous events or you may have set one up when you registered for the walk.)

When you enter a title for your personal website and create your web address, be sure to copy the website address down.  This will be the website address that you give to your friends and family.

If you had a pledge page last year, you will need to enter a new name here or your last year's pledges will show up on your page. For example, if your page from last year was "Sally Smith's Pledge Page" you will need to type "Sally Smith's 2007 Pledge Page."

Have fun creating your own personal page. Add pictures, text, your fundraising goal…Active.com has created an easy way to make an interesting, informative pledge page.

Please Note: Active.com receives a service fee from Tri-Valley SOCKs to handle credit card processing of online donations. They will process the online credit card donations, take their fee, and send the remaining donation to us. (Read item 6 in the Service Agreement for Third-Party donations.) To avoid processing fees, you must either mail in your donations as checks or bring checks to registration the night of the walk.

Make sure to add pictures and personalize your page!
When you get to the Bras for the Cause Moonlight Walk 2008 web page, you have three options for fundraising at the top of the page. (It's kinda small, but it's at the top and center of the page.)

  • Click Fundraise as an Individual if you do not intend to join a team.
  • Click Create a Fundraising Team if you are the person who will create your team page.
  • Click Join a Fundraising Team and select the team name from the drop-down list box

Next, enter your Active username and password or set up an account for yourself.

Click Continue and  Active will lead you through the steps to create your own fundraising page!
Put the "fun" in fundraising with a little bit of healthy team competition! Round up your friends, have your captain go to the following URL and there they can create your team's page. After that, each team member selects the team name from the drop-down and creates their new individual page that is tied to the team's page.  Monies are tracked and credited to both the individual and team accounts.
