The Bras for the Cause Walk is an incredible, high-energy event with hundreds of walkers, volunteers, and spectators. Our walk is a unique and exciting event, with a very compelling purpose—to find a cure for breast cancer now.
Due to the great feedback and awesome turnout that we had last year, we have planned an even more exciting event. So invite your friends, decorate a bra, and get in touch with your inner diva!
We are presenting a 10K (six mile) fundraising walk, complete with a bra-decorating contest, to raise money to fight breast cancer. This year, our support goes to three amazing local organizations:
- Axis Community Health will use proceeds to set up breast screening services for women in our community who are uninsured.
- Susan G. Komen for the Cure (SF Bay Area Affiliate) will use proceeds to support innovative local research and community-based outreach programs in the Bay Area.
- UCSF's Helen Diller Comprehensive Cancer Center will fund research with proceeds from this year's walk.
So the dollars you raise benefit our local community directly!
Please note: You must be at least 12 years of age to register and walk with an adult. We encourage younger "supporters" to come to the pit stop at Wayside Park in Pleasanton to participate by cheering the walkers.
